What is an Exercise Physiologist?


The Exercise Physiology industry is a mainstream allied health profession widely recognised in the healthcare sector. Exercise Physiologist’s (EP’s) are eligible to register with Medicare Australia and have recognition among a number of health fund insurers.

EP’s are a minimum 4-year university qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise, nutrition, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. They are also trained experts who assist athletes to achieve their highest possible performance.

EP’s have to be able to meet specific and strict criteria, in order to be accredited from the Australian Association of Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS).

Are you Eligible for a rebate?

Dieter’s accreditation with AAESS allows his clients to benefit from his education and experience, with high quality exercise and nutrition instruction, as well as financially.

Medicare will give you a rebate for 5 sessions a year, provided that you have a referral from your GP.
