The sharp corners of each piece are eased (arrissed) at the factory. The timber is safer to handle, kinder on gloves and skin, and gives a cleaner finish where beams are left exposed.
H2S is a hazard-class treatment for termite protection in enclosed, above-ground framing south of the Tropic of Capricorn. It is applied to the LVL at manufacture, so framing arrives protected with no site treatment needed.
H2S does not protect against weather exposure in service. For in-ground or exposed use, ask us about H3, H4 and H5 treated hardwood.
Allied’s spruce LVL is up to half the weight of competing brands at the same section size. It looks heavy; it is not.
Weather-Guard is a factory-applied sealer that limits moisture uptake while the frame is exposed during construction, helping the timber stay straight and dimensionally stable until the roof is on.
